What is the Cambridge Home Study?
In order to contribute to the needs of more people who “want to take world-standard English lessons at home “anytime”” and “take English lessons easily,” “Cambridge Home Study”, which uses grammar and synthetic phonics programs from Cambridge, a well-known institution that creates various English learning materials including ones for learners of English at a second language, and meets CEFR standards, has been launched. In addition, Cambridge has launched a math program.

World Standard Learning Materials
The courses are designed to be highly intuitive - they combine bite-sized language with images that make it easy to grasp the concepts. The unique and interactive content provides a complete stand-alone curriculum or can be used to complement your school curriculum. This multi-sensory program will keep children engaged and motivated to learn.
You can register a suitable level for your needs
As our courses are not age specific, students can enter at different levels appropriate to their needs. This means that those students who are struggling or ahead of grade level for example, can work with material that allows them to progress to the next level seamlessly. The courses are designed to be flexible and open to all without regard to age or ability.

All courses are accompanied by online Zoom classes with qualified instructors. The instructors provide additional support to focus uniquely on any student difficulties as well as reinforce what has already been taught. Sophisticated data analysis allows instructors to keep detailed records of student progress and provide appropriate support to all students. A chat feature means students can directly contact instructors with questions.
Develop Critical Thinking and Problem Solving Skills
Various methods and techniques are used in the lectures to introduce and provide a deep understanding of the mathematical concepts at each grade level. Along with worked examples, graded exercises, and interactive content, the courses develop children’s problem solving, critical thinking, and reasoning skills. The program is multifaceted and features review sections, games, and challenge problems, to test those who wish to go beyond the scope of their grade level.
Proven Effectiveness
CEFR and Synthetic Phonics are now incorporated into the core curriculums of many countries, including in the UK, Australia and the US. MEXT has also adopted CEFR standards to improve listening and speaking in Japanese schools. Our math courses also follow the MEXT curriculum for elementary mathematics.
Examples of Course Content
You are introduced to a sound through audio and images. You practise repeating the sound. You then practise how to listen to the sound that is either at the beginning or at the end of a word. You're then introduced to the corresponding letter and can trace the shape using animation. In this way, we learn the letter sound correspondence. The system provides lots of examples and different exercises so that you become fluent in the use of these letter sounds. In addition, there are games and writing activities for you to practise.
In this example, we will practice by choosing the correct letter sound of the word that matches the given picture. If the first sound is missing, select the letter that matches the missing sound from the options. After that, there will also be questions where the middle sound or the last sound is missing. As the course progresses, you will need to spell and type words.
In this video we see an example of blending (putting together) individual letter sounds to spell a word. Each phoneme in every position is important. We care about the ‘l’ as much as the ‘a’, ‘m’ and the ‘p’. So, we place emphasis on hearing and identifying the phonemes in all positions. Children are taught that the alphabetic code is reversible so if you can read a word, you can spell it.
Various methods and techniques are used in the lectures to provide a deep understanding of the concepts and how they connect to other topics. For example, multiplication is first introduced as distributing an equal number of items to each group as repeated addition. It is also defined in terms of skip counting and the use of the number line. Next, we show multiplication in terms of scaling and through the use of multiplication tables. We show the connection between multiplication and division and how problems can be interpreted as both. Finally we show how multiplication is used through the application of word problems where information needs to be extracted.
Features of the system
Track your performance using the “Report System”. The reports provide a detailed account of each lesson. Students can see questions answered correctly or incorrectly and their progress in all areas of the course. The teacher uses the data from these reports to plan online Zoom lessons.
When you are solving a problem, you can ask your teacher immediately if you think, “I don't understand...”. The message icon is always available on the dashboard, lecture pages, and question pages. Parents can also send messages and ask questions through the chat function to Admin.
